The photo here is of Lady Giselle, a former resident at Shy Lowen Horse & Pony Sanctuary in Liverpool.
Lady sustained injury to both hind legs after getting caught in a barbed wire fence. She quickly proved herself to have the heart of a lion, fighting relentlessly against repeated bouts of crippling lymphangitis brought on as a result of her injuries.
Then in August 2011, just as Lady was almost recovered and able to be considered for rehoming, drunken intruders broke into the Sanctuary and hard-rode her to the point of collapse.
After being contacted by the Sanctuary for help, EquiNatural donated the ongoing herbal support for Lady, for whom it was a privilege and a pleasure to help. We were delighted to hear that after a few months, and after a stoic fight by Lady herself, she was finally considered fit and well enough for rehoming.
