Support your horse both during and following a colic episode with KolicTonic.

When digestive tension strikes, every minute matters. KolicTonic brings together a synergistic blend of organic, fast-absorbing tinctures to help calm both intestinal spasms and the nervous system, and settle the gut’s natural rhythm.

Designed for horses during mild colic digestion care and recovery, it supports the body’s own motility reflexes while gently restoring post-spasm comfort, settling gas, and promoting inner calm during and after colic episodes.

“All I can say is, amazing! 20 minutes later, I was comfortable again.” June P.

(Not the horse this time - the human ! KolicTonic to the rescue…. proof that nature’s remedies don’t always come with hooves attached!)

Overview

Colic is a traumatic event for horses, and recovery can take time. Horses have long memories, and the stress of a colic episode can leave a lasting impression. Supporting their digestive system both during and post-colic can be truly beneficial to help them recover, both physically and emotionally.

Functional support for recovery

KolicTonic is formulated with specific herbs that work to support the digestive system while addressing the underlying stress and imbalances that may have contributed to the episode. By nurturing the gut and providing essential nutrients, this blend supports your horse’s journey back to comfort and balance.

Comparisons - which blend?

KolicTonic, SiboCARE, or GutBitters?

Because colic-type discomfort can have different root causes, it’s important to choose the right support:

KolicTonic – for acute or recent digestive tension, spasmodic colic, or gas discomfort. Provides short-term soothing and gut-calming support.

SiboCARE – for ongoing hindgut imbalance, bloating, or bacterial overgrowth once the acute episode has passed.

GutBitters – for horses prone to sluggish digestion or mild spring/autumn grass transitions where the issue is more about digestive tone than spasm.

If your horse’s discomfort returns or feels linked to stress, see our StressTonic or AdrenaVIVE for nervous–gut resilience support.

Composition & Feed Guide

Each herb in KolicTonic works in synergy to calm digestive spasms, soothe tension, and help restore the gut’s natural motility.

Covering all three key angles of colic and gut tension:

  • Mucosal protection
  • Neuro-gastro calming

KolicTonic is a nutritional, functional food supplement and not veterinary medicine. For more on this, see Dr Kellon's article - Nutrition is not 'Alternative' Therapy .

Horses sometimes have their own opinions (and strong tastebuds!), so now and then a new blend might need a little extra encouragement. This doesn’t reflect the quality or efficacy of the product, but rather their natural instinct towards new flavours.
