If you're starting to start thinking about testing for tapeworms, nature can help here as Pumpkin Seeds are well known for their Taeniacide and Taeniafuge properties - Taeniacides are phytonutrients that specifically destroy tapeworms, and Taeniafuges expel them.
Apart from this, Pumpkin Seeds are said higher in protein (at 29%) than almost any other nut or seed, and are also an excellent source of Zinc and Vitamin A.
They also have an important anthelmintic property (basically a natural wormer) - an amino acid, cucurbitin , which is regarded as being a very potent and effective teniafuge, said to be one of the most efficient remedies for killing intestinal parasites including tapeworms and roundworms (by causing degenerative changes in the reproductive organs) with its zinc content also helping to expel worms.
NB. Please note we only sell human-grade pumpkin seeds, and not those packaged for planting, which will have been treated with insecticides, fungicides and sometimes-powdered fertilizers.
