VERMCLEAR for Horses | Natural Herbal Parasite & Gut Support 🍂NOVEMBER SALE - 20%-OFF - USE CODE TRANSITION20
Looking for natural support for your horse around worm-testing season?
You might have just done a worm count, you're reviewing your horse's parasite programme, or you're simply looking for something to support the gut alongside pasture management and strategic worming when it's needed.
That's where we'd look at VermClear.
“Really good product and horses had no issues eating it, even the fussy one!” Charlotte W.
Our short-course herbal blend combines bitter, aromatic and fibre-rich plants traditionally used to support healthy digestion, intestinal movement and natural parasite elimination – while helping maintain a gut environment that's a little less welcoming to unwanted guests.
It's the gut-supporting part of a wider parasite-management plan because worms don't live in isolation. They have to live in a horse's gut – and that's what we're more interested in.

Overview - why do some horses carry more worms than others?
Put several horses on the same pasture, exposed to the same weather and grazing the same fields, and something interesting can happen.
One repeatedly comes back with a higher worm egg count, while another barely registers.
Why?
Parasite exposure matters, of course - but so does the horse they're trying to live in.
The intestinal tract is a busy ecosystem, shaped by digestive function, microbial communities, gut movement and the horse's own natural defences.
And that's where VermClear comes in.
Looking after the gut as well as counting the worms
VermClear brings together bitter, aromatic and fibre-rich herbs with deliberately different jobs.
Some support normal digestive secretions and intestinal movement. Others support natural parasite elimination, microbial balance, and the gut lining itself.
So rather than focusing only on the unwanted guests, VermClear helps support the intestinal environment they're trying to live in too.
That doesn't replace faecal worm egg counts, pasture management or strategic veterinary worming when it's needed - it simply gives us another part of the picture.
Count the worms, manage the pasture, treat when necessary - and don't forget to look after the horse carrying them.
How VermClear fits into your horse's support plan
VermClear is designed for horses where parasite management forms part of an ongoing gut-health strategy, rather than being treated as a completely separate issue.
It's a good fit if you're looking to support the intestinal environment alongside responsible parasite control, helping create conditions that are naturally less welcoming for unwanted visitors.
Choose VermClear if your horse:
✔ grazes shared pasture where parasite challenge is naturally higher
✔ is part of a carefully monitored parasite-management programme and you'd like to support gut health alongside it
✔ would benefit from seasonal support during periods of increased parasite exposure
✔ is recovering from digestive disruption and you're looking to support both gut health and intestinal resilience
Rather than working in isolation, VermClear fits alongside good pasture hygiene, strategic veterinary worming where needed, and routine monitoring.
From there, support can be adapted depending on what you're seeing.
Building support around your horse
- BiomeTonic – for longer-term support of a balanced hindgut environment and microbial resilience once the programme has finished.
- WildFed – to provide the diverse fibres and plant compounds that help nourish a healthy hindgut ecosystem throughout the year.
- GutBitters – during seasonal grass changes, when supporting digestive rhythm and gut adaptation becomes equally important.
- SiboCARE – where parasite management is only one part of a wider picture involving longer-standing hindgut imbalance or dysbiosis.
Foundation support
Targeted supplements work best when they're built on strong nutritional foundations. Supporting your horse's baseline nutrition with a forage-based mineral blend such as VitaComplete or EquiVita helps provide the essential nutrients that healthy tissues, metabolism, immunity, and recovery processes rely upon every day.In summary
Parasites are part of every horse's world - so the aim isn't to create a completely parasite-free horse, but to support a healthy intestinal environment where parasite pressure is naturally easier to manage as part of a thoughtful, evidence-led programme.

Energetics - how VermClear works
When it comes to herbs and herbal formulations, you may have heard herbalists talk about energetics . It's simply the way we describe how a herb or formula has been designed to support the body in a balanced and purposeful way. The science helps us understand why that structure works.
Our VermClear formula brings together bitter herbs, aromatic botanicals, digestive stimulants, fibres and soothing plants, each supporting a different stage of healthy intestinal function.
How the formula works
The herbs have been selected to work together across five complementary areas.
- Supporting a balanced intestinal terrain - Wormwood, Sage and Thyme contribute traditional bitter and aromatic compounds that help maintain an intestinal environment that is naturally less inviting to unwanted guests.
- Supporting digestion and microbial harmony - Thyme, Fennel and Turmeric help maintain healthy digestive secretions, microbial balance and normal gut function, creating the conditions that beneficial microbes prefer.
- Supporting healthy intestinal movement - Ginger, Cayenne and Psyllium encourage normal digestive movement and natural elimination, helping move intestinal contents efficiently through the digestive tract.
- Supporting gut comfort throughout the process - Elecampane, Fennel and Psyllium provide soothing support for the intestinal lining, helping maintain comfort while the digestive system is adapting.
Big picture
Parasites are part of every horse's world, so the goal isn't necessarily to create a completely parasite-free horse.
It's to help create a digestive environment where healthy gut function, thoughtful pasture management, regular faecal worm egg counts and if needed, appropriate veterinary worming all work together as part of one bigger picture.
VermClear doesn't replace responsible parasite control - it simply supports the horse's side of the partnership.
Clinical considerations / veterinary reference
Advisories

- The aromatic bitters and spices may be stimulating for sensitive horses, so introduce gradually.
Contraindications
- Not suitable for pregnant or nursing mares due to the aromatic and bitter nature of some herbs.
- Avoid concurrent use with anticoagulant or steroid medications unless under veterinary guidance.

VermClear FAQs
Is VermClear a natural wormer?
That's probably the question we're asked most often, and our answer is... not quite.
VermClear isn't designed to replace responsible veterinary parasite control. Instead, it's designed to support the horse's own natural defences by helping create a gut environment that's naturally less welcoming to unwanted visitors.
We see it as one part of a bigger picture alongside regular faecal worm egg counts (FWECs), good pasture management, and strategic worming where needed.
Can VermClear replace chemical wormers?
It's not quite as simple as that.
We always encourage owners to use regular faecal worm egg counts to monitor parasite levels and to work with their vet when treatment is genuinely needed.
Meanwhile, VermClear sits alongside that approach, supporting the horse and the gut rather than trying to replace responsible parasite control.
Why do some horses seem to get more worms than others?
Two horses can graze the same field, eat the same grass, and be exposed to exactly the same parasites - yet one consistently carries a higher worm burden than the other.
That raises an interesting question.
Is it only about the worms... or does the horse matter too?
At EquiNatural, we're fascinated by the gut environment itself. Healthy digestion, a balanced microbiome, normal gut movement, and good immune resilience all help shape the sort of place parasites are trying to live.
That's why VermClear focuses on supporting the horse as well as considering the parasite.
When should I feed VermClear?
Many owners like to use VermClear after carrying out a faecal worm egg count, particularly during the grazing season when parasite challenge is naturally higher.
Others include it as part of their regular seasonal gut-support routine.
The important thing is that it works alongside a thoughtful parasite management programme, rather than replacing one.
Can VermClear be fed after worming?
Yes. In fact, many owners choose to use VermClear as part of their horse's ongoing gut-support programme following veterinary worming.
The aim is to help support digestive balance and the intestinal environment once treatment has been completed.
Will VermClear help my horse's gut as well?
Absolutely - and that's one of the reasons we formulated it.
Rather than focusing solely on parasites, VermClear also contains herbs that support digestive secretions, healthy gut movement, microbial harmony, and intestinal comfort.
Because in our minds, parasite management and gut health are two parts of the same conversation.
Can VermClear be fed alongside BiomeTonic?
Yes - they complement each other perfectly.
VermClear is often used as a more focused, short-term programme, while BiomeTonic is designed for longer-term support of the hindgut ecosystem.
Many owners move naturally from one to the other.
Is VermClear suitable for every horse?
Most healthy adult horses can enjoy VermClear as part of a wider parasite management strategy.
However, because the blend contains aromatic bitters and digestive stimulants, it's not suitable for pregnant or nursing mares, and we recommend checking the Clinical Considerations section if your horse has gastric ulcers, intestinal inflammation, or is receiving certain medications.
Why do you talk so much about the "gut environment"?
Because parasites don't live in isolation.
They live inside a gut, and that gut is a living ecosystem.
Over the years we've become increasingly interested in supporting the conditions that help the horse maintain a balanced internal environment, rather than simply focusing on the parasites themselves.
Sometimes changing the environment is just as important as changing the occupants.
Can I feed VermClear every day?
VermClear is designed as a short-course programme rather than an everyday supplement.
Many owners use it every three months alongside regular faecal worm egg counts, before returning to longer-term gut support such as BiomeTonic or WildFed.
Why are bitter herbs included in VermClear?
Bitter herbs have been valued in traditional herbal practice for centuries because they encourage the body's own digestive processes.
Healthy digestive secretions, efficient gut movement, and a well-functioning intestinal environment all contribute to making life less comfortable for unwanted visitors.
They're an important part of the wider strategy behind VermClear.
