Advisory
- Feed as a minimum 1-month supportive phase.
- Start gradually and build up for sensitive horses.
- Can be fed at maintenance after the initial phase.
- Use caution with steroid or immune-modifying medications — vet guidance advised.
Contraindications
- Not suitable for pregnant or nursing mares.
- Avoid alongside immune-suppressant or anticoagulant medications without veterinary guidance.
- Not for horses with clotting disorders unless supervised.

The Story Behind BioCARE
In September 2014, just two weeks after Carmen came to live with us, she was suddenly chronically lame in her field. Our vet told us that our gorgeous 7yo TB chestnut mare had developed joint sepsis in her fetlock, linked to a historic wound we'd inherited.
The vet gave her only a 5% chance of recovery with antibiotics, saying that if there was no improvement within 48-hours, we would have no choice but to have her PTS. A vibrant, sassy, full-of-life young mare we had only known for two weeks, now with a PTS prognosis. We were absolutely devastated.
In shock, I turned to the strongest herbal support I could create - a formula designed to nourish her immune resilience and encourage natural internal clearance. I knew I had to give her the biggest blast of natural antimicrobials to fight and draw out the infection. The next morning, I gave her a double handful and prayed for a miracle.
Two mornings later, Carmen's hoof was flat on the floor - she'd abscessed beautifully through her coronet band (I've never been so happy to see an abscess in my life!). From that moment onward, her recovery unfolded. BioCARE was born from that experience - and remains one of our most meaningful blends today.
