SPRINGCLEANSE for Horses | Organic Spring Herbs for Water Buffet & Self-Selection
Six spring herbs, six separate choices - let your horse take it from there.
As winter gives way to spring, the plants available to grazing horses begin to change too – fresh greens, leafy herbs and aromatic plants appearing alongside the first new grass.
SpringCleanse brings a little of that seasonal variety back to the menu. Designed as a seasonal herbal water buffet and self-selection collection for horses, each herb stays separate so your horse can explore the different tastes and aromas individually.
We've selected six certified organic spring herbs – Chickweed, Cleavers, Dandelion Leaf, Eyebright, Nettle Leaf and Rosemary – and packed them separately so your horse can explore them individually.
Offer them in separate water buckets or dry self-selection bowls – then see which ones get the vote.
*Note: All our herbs are available individually - see our Individual Items category from the Shop menu.

What's inside the SpringCleanse herbal buffet?
Each bag contains:
- 6 × 100g packs of seasonal Certified Organic herbs
- Suitable for water buffet infusions or dry self-selection bowls
Composition
- Chickweed – A classic fresh spring green traditionally associated with soothing support for skin and tissues.
- Cleavers – One of the great spring hedgerow herbs, traditionally associated with lymphatic flow and normal fluid movement.
- Dandelion Leaf – A familiar spring green and gentle bitter, traditionally valued for digestive support and normal fluid balance.
- Eyebright – A small but rather aptly named herb traditionally associated with soothing support for the eyes and upper respiratory tissues.
- Nettle Leaf – Mineral-rich, deeply green and one of the most recognisable plants of spring, traditionally valued as a nourishing seasonal tonic.
- Rosemary – Strongly aromatic and completely different from the fresh greens around it, Rosemary is traditionally associated with digestion and healthy circulation.
Did you know?
Some of the first plants to make themselves conspicuous in spring are exactly the sort of herbs we've put into this buffet. Nettles, cleavers, chickweed and dandelions all burst back into growth as the days lengthen – which makes SpringCleanse probably the greenest menu of the four seasons.
How to offer a herbal water buffet or dry self-selection
Give your horse time to explore, select, and settle into their preferences.
- Water buffet – Add 1–2 scoops of each herb to a separate bucket of fresh water, placed alongside your horse's usual water source. Top up during the day and refresh every couple of days.
- Dry self-selection – Offer each herb separately in its own bowl and let your horse browse the selection in their own time.
Why these six herbs for spring?
After the roots, berries, seeds and stored forage of the colder months, spring brings something quite different – fresh leaves, tender greens and aromatic new growth. We wanted SpringCleanse to feel every bit as green as the season itself.
- Spring greens – Nettle + Chickweed
- Two very different leafy herbs, bringing mineral-rich nourishment alongside Chickweed's traditional association with soothing support. - Hedgerow herbs – Cleavers + Dandelion Leaf
- Familiar spring plants traditionally associated with lymphatic and fluid movement, digestion and everyday seasonal housekeeping. - Eyes & upper airways – Eyebright
- A traditional herb associated particularly with the eyes and upper respiratory tissues – an interesting addition as spring also brings wind, dust and pollen back into the picture. - Aromatic contrast – Rosemary
- Warm, fragrant and invigorating, Rosemary brings an entirely different aroma and flavour alongside the softer spring greens.
Six shades of spring green – and six opportunities for your horse to hopefully agree with our menu planning.
