Heat, dust, richer grazing and increased activity can all change what your horse encounters through the summer months – and the plants growing around them change too.
SummerSoothe brings a little of that seasonal variety back to the menu. Designed as a seasonal herbal water buffet and self-selection collection for horses, each herb stays separate so your horse can explore the different tastes and aromas individually.
We've selected six certified organic summer herbs – Chamomile, Hawthorn Flowering Tops, Marshmallow Leaf, Meadowsweet, Peppermint and Plantain Leaf – and packed them separately to create six distinct choices.
Chosen for their traditional associations with digestive comfort, cooling and soothing support, circulation and calm, they make a rather lovely summer buffet.
Offer them in separate water buckets or dry self-selection bowls – then see who's flavour of the month.

What's inside the SummerSoothe herbal buffet?
Each bag contains:
- 6 × 100g packs of seasonal certified organic herbs
- Suitable for water buffet infusions or dry self-selection bowls
Composition
- Chamomile – Soft, aromatic and one of herbalism's best-known calming plants, traditionally associated with relaxation and digestive comfort.
- Hawthorn Flowering Tops – Leaf and flower from a familiar hedgerow favourite, traditionally associated with healthy circulation and cardiovascular support.
- Marshmallow Leaf – Naturally rich in soothing mucilage, giving this gentle leafy herb its traditional association with dry or irritated tissues.
- Meadowsweet – One of our favourites, and a classic summer meadow herb traditionally associated with digestive comfort and a healthy inflammatory response.
- Peppermint – Fresh, strongly aromatic and instantly recognisable, Peppermint is traditionally valued for digestive comfort, particularly where gas and bloating are part of the picture.
- Plantain Leaf – A familiar pasture and wayside plant, traditionally valued for its soothing support for the digestive and respiratory tissues.

Summer produces a very different botanical landscape from spring. Leaves have matured, aromatic plants are at their most fragrant, and many meadow and hedgerow species are flowering – which is why this buffet has such a lovely mixture of soft leaves, flowers and summer aromatics. How to offer a herbal water buffet or dry self-selection
Give your horse time to explore, select, and settle into their preferences.
- Water buffet – Add 1–2 scoops of each herb to a separate bucket of fresh water, placed alongside your horse's usual water source. Top up during the day and refresh every couple of days.
- Dry self-selection – Offer each herb separately in its own bowl and let your horse browse the selection in their own time.
Why these six herbs for summer?
Spring was all about tender new greens. By summer, the botanical menu has matured – leafy plants, flowers and strongly aromatic herbs are everywhere.
We wanted SummerSoothe to capture some of that abundance while reflecting the heat, dust, pollen and activity that can come with the season.
